“Jane’s hour-long workshop was a delight ... I found that writing in the company of others is surprisingly cathartic, and will definitely come back for more. “”

In this small series, we’ll meet weekly to read one or two poems closely that follow a similar theme and use them as a starting point for our own writing. Each session will explore an aspect of poetic technique, from structure and image to line and editing, with guided exercises designed to generate new drafts and strengthen existing work.
Along the way, you’ll build a practical toolkit of approaches you can return to in your own writing.
Open to writers at all levels, this is a focussed and supportive space to develop your skills and make new poems in the company of others.
Cancellations: Refunds are available up to 48 hours before the session.
“I recently attended one of Jane’s Poetry Taster sessions, I was initially a little apprehensive but Jane quickly put me at ease. She is an enthusiastic, thoughtful and inclusive facilitator. The session was carefully structured in order to break down the task into manageable chunks. I was pleased with my end result and was happy to share it with the small group.”
